Last night I received a call from strange number at approximately 9:22 pm.
Me: Hello?
Man With Strange Accent (MWSA): Hey, uh, I'm trying to deliver your pizzas here, but, uh, how did you say to get there? Did you say it was a road, or a street?
Me: I think you have the wrong number.
MWSA: Look, lady, you ordered about 20 pizzas and some coke, and I'm trying--that's when I hung up.
By about 9:30 I had convinced Matt to called the number back from his phone and talk to them. MWSA answers the phone, and Matt asks when the pizzas he ordered will be here because we were supposed to get them 10 minutes ago. MWSA pretends like he doesn't know what Matt's talking about and hands the phone to a woman with a strange Chinese accent. Matt asks about the pizzas again, but the woman doesn't understand him, thinking he's saying 'pieces,' not 'pizzas.' Then she tells him they own a Chinese restaurant and that they don't make pizza.
End of first phone call.
At 9:32 Matt calls the number again, but this time from my phone. MWSA answers the phone again, and Matt tells him he had a missed call from this number and is wondering why the guy called. MWSA will not admit that he called my phone. They argue for a minute before hangs up on Matt. MWSA.
End of second phone call.
At 9:33 Matt makes another call to the number from his phone. MWSA answers immediately and says (with his strange, probably made-up accent), "Stop calling me, dude." To that, Matt answers, "We don't appreciate getting prank phone calls." And that was all he could say before the guy hung up on him again.
Hopefully he'll think twice before making another prank phone call. (Although it made our evening more eventful...)

Graduation Poser
After my graduation pictures got posted on Facebook, I had a number of people I haven't talk to in awhile congratulate me. I guess that was a test to see how well you all know me because I won't actually graduate until December. Joke is on them! It just worked out that all of my family would be in town during the August graduation, not to mention that my school doesn't do a December graduation ceremony.
My friends and family were kind enough to wake up at the crack of dawn and be in attendance at my 8 a.m. graduation. You all rock! We had a fun few days hanging out with my family because it doesn't happen very often that this many of us get together. Here are a few photos of the activities.
Here we have Matt and Rob starting off the 1st annual ice cream eating contest! Who could eat the most in 7 minutes?
Surprisingly enough, Rob was announced the winner. (But in his defense, Matt had just had his appendix out a week earlier.)
All the awesome people that came to my graduation. How big is YOUR fan club?
Precious tree shot. Ignore the shadows please.
Some of the fam. Sorry your eyes are kind of closed, Megan...otherwise it's a cute picture!
Me with my other parents. I love them!
Right now you're probably thinking about how amazing I am that I blogged two days in a row. Confession: I blogged them both on the same night and just saved this one to post today. I'm not perfect, you know!

Lazy Blogger
A large majority of the summer went by without a single post from me. My excuse? I'm lazy. Matt worked all summer, and I worked a little, took a statistics class, and completed an independent study class in four weeks.
So here's the really pathetic part. Remember my floral design class during spring term that I was always posting pictures of? I never posted picture of my last project--the bridal bouquet!
So, for your viewing pleasure, here it is.

I tried to get creative with my photos, but my camera isn't capable of much, and neither am I when it comes to photography. Where's Megan with her fancy camera when I need her?

More Flowers
Here's a look at a few of my latest masterpieces.

This was a glass cube arrangement I did. I think it's my favorite one so far. It contains 2 roses, several carnations, different colored daisymums, a gerber daisy, solidago, pittosporum, hypericum berries, and alstroemeria. Don't I sound so smart?! :)

These are the boutonnieres that I made. For extra credit we were told we could give them to people and write a little response about how they were treated differently by others because they were wearing flowers. I gave them to four of the women that I work with. They were excited to wear them, and it was fun to see how happy they were because of it. I love flowers!

One Year Ago...
I had a lump the size of a golf ball attached to my thyroid (my surgery was actually the beginning of May, so it's been a little more than a year). One of my biggest fears about the surgery was the scar it would leave (shallow, I know...).
And so, after one year and use of Mederma every now and then, you can hardly see the scar at all. At least not in the picture. I still catch people staring at my neck sometimes. When I went to the dentist in April he asked me if I'd had a tracheotomy...what can you do?
