One Year Ago...

I had a lump the size of a golf ball attached to my thyroid (my surgery was actually the beginning of May, so it's been a little more than a year). One of my biggest fears about the surgery was the scar it would leave (shallow, I know...).

And so, after one year and use of Mederma every now and then, you can hardly see the scar at all. At least not in the picture. I still catch people staring at my neck sometimes. When I went to the dentist in April he asked me if I'd had a tracheotomy...what can you do?

sweet! Scars can always make for good stories, so you could always embellish yours if you really wanted. of course, the story is pretty good as it is...hee hee

Glad to hear you've used the Mederma a few times. ;-) And if it makes you feel better I never notice your scar at all anymore.

The golf ball comparison is my favorite. That is big!

I never knew! And you are not shallow! And if you need a bucket a water because of your short supply I give you some! Let me KNOW!

AMAZING job on your flowers....makes my heart sing, :) And about the scar...well, i have a few of my own, but i wouldn't trade josh for anything!!! You are BEAUTIFUL...and i'd much rather look at a faint scar than the golfball continuing to grow...
